Pickleball

Pickleball

Pickleball is the fastest-growing sport in Australia, particularly among the over 50’s age group.  Its rapid growth is due to its easy learning curve, it is also low impact so kinder on the body, and focuses more on reflexes and smart positioning of the ball rather than overpowering with smashes and powerful serves.  It can be played as singles or doubles.

Pickleball Courts are open for play, the following has been arranged by our Pickleball activity group.

All 3 courts will be booked for “Community Play”. These times will be:

  • Monday 7:30 am to 9:30 am
  • Tuesday 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm
  • Thursday 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm

To qualify for Community Play, all players must:

  1. Understand the basic rules of Pickleball,
  2.  Be able to get 8 out of 10 serves in,
  3.  Be able to score.

On Fridays from 8am to 10am there will be a “Beginners Session” where all new players will be given coaching to get them up to a standard to join in “Community Play”.
